William A. “Bill” Truban, Jr.

William A. (“Bill”) Truban, Jr. was raised in Woodstock, Virginia. He and John are brothers. Bill graduated from James Madison University in 1987, summa cum laude, with a major in finance, minor in economics, and was a member of Phi Kappa Phi and Beta Gamma Sigma.  He worked with Coopers & Lybrand (now Price Waterhouse/Coopers) in the tax department before attending and during law school.  He graduated from the T.C. Williams School of Law of the University of Richmond in 1991, magna cum laude, and practiced in Richmond, Virginia with the law firms of Williams Mullen and Kelly & Lewis before returning the Shenandoah Valley and joining Owen and Truban, PLC in 1994.  He has passed the CPA exam but does not practice as an accountant.

Bill Truban’s office is located on the second floor – enter through main front door and proceed to second floor.

Bill is a member of the Virginia State Bar; American Bar Association; Winchester Frederick County Bar Association (President 2011-2012); National Elder Law Association (NAELA); Virginia Elder Law Association (VAELA).

Bill has been on the Salvation Army Board for many years and a past Chairman.  He is an Eagle Scout and a strong supporter of the Boy Scouts, serves on the Evans Home Investment Committee, and was an elder in First Presbyterian Church, and director of Belle Grove, Inc.

Bill is licensed to practice law in Virginia, West Virginia and the District of Columbia.
