This list in intended to be descriptive, and not necessarily a limitation on what we do. There are a number of matters we do not handle. For example, we do not normally litigate, but will do so in tax matters where an appropriate litigation attorney is associated. If in the course of our representation we determine that you need legal advice in one of these areas, we will recommend that you consult with another attorney, or under given circumstances we will consult another attorney for you with your prior consent or simply refer you to another attorney. The following is a list of some of the matters we do not handle.
  • Divorce or domestic law matters
  • Real estate title work and closings
  • Creditors rights and bankruptcy
  • General litigation -- civil or otherwise -- we do not go to court except in tax matters
  • Criminal -- we do not go to court
  • Traffic offenses

We feel that we can do a better job by limiting our practice to specific areas. Also, we work closely with our clients' certified public accountants. We do not normally prepare and file income, gift or estate tax returns since CPA's usually deal with those matters less expensively. We will become involved in estate tax returns and gift tax returns in instances in which your CPA and our office feel it is better for us to prepare the return.
